Cream of Vegetable Soup


All purpose flour: 1tbsp
Butter: 1/4 stick
Onion (diced): 1
Garlic: 1 clove
Beans (diced): a big cup
Carrots (diced): 2
Cauliflower( diced): 1/2
Milk: 3 cups

This is a great recipe when you are down with a cough or cold or even otherwise. Super simple but very delicious.

In a big sauce pan, melt some butter but don't let it brown. Add the flour and cook for a min or two in low heat, make sure the raw smell disappears,  but be careful not to burn it. In a separate pan, add little butter and saute the onions till it is translucent. add the carrots, beans and cauliflower and cook it. smash it lightly and add it to the butter and all purpose flour mixture. Add milk, salt and bring it to a boil, the mixture will thicken and get to a creamy texture. Sprinkle some pepper and serve hot with some sour dough bread.
